Averil Kimble
I co-owned the Yoga & Wellness Center. I have been an ACE Certified Fitness Instructor since 1982 with a specialty in yoga, and have also received certifications in YogaFit, Pilates, Tai Chi for Health, and Zumba. My favorite classes to teach include a blend of yoga, Pilates and dance. A resident of Quincy since 1980, I have taught classes to teenagers and seniors, alike. I currently teach for six months in Quincy, and travel to the Florida Keys in the winter where I also teach yoga, and Tribal Bellydance. Joining with Jane 16 years ago to open the Quincy Yoga & Wellness Center was a dream come true! Our instructors are trained and certified, and so very dedicated to their students. Do yourself a favor and find out what our classes and teachers can do to enhance your life!
Clare Churchill
Clare has been a yoga practitioner for nearly 25 years, and a teacher for the past 20. To enrich her life and to enhance her teaching skills and style, Clare recently renewed her certification through the Alaya School of Yoga, and is registered with Yoga Alliance. Clare’s Hatha teaching style blends the elements of asana, pranayama and meditation into an experience that provides students with the full benefits of a yoga practice. “My goal is to offer students a yoga experience that brings awareness to their body, clarity to their mind, and depth to their breath; a yoga experience that allows expression of each individual’s gifts, and inspires meaning to their lives off the mat.” Twenty-five years of experience has broadened her perspective and has evolved her teaching style. “My personal yoga practice has led me on the path of wanting to share the life-enriching benefits of yoga, and I hope to broaden your yoga experience, as well."

Laura has always loved group fitness classes, and decided she would also love becoming an instructor. With 3 young children, she made a goal to become an aerobics instructor when all her kids were in school full-time. In 2011, she came across that goal, and decided her path would be a dancing one - teaching Zumba was perfect for her, as she loves to dance. “Getting to exercise and burn excess calories doing something as fun as Zumba, is perfect for me, and perfect for so many other people!” Laura has certifications in both Zumba & Zumba Gold.
Darlene Gutierrez
Darlene has been interested and active in fitness for over 20 years, both in the gym and at home. Six years ago she became focused on rehabilitative and quality of life fitness after her husband suffered a debilitating stroke. Attending the Gentle Fit class at QYWC was one piece of her journey in fitness, and when the instructor moved from Quincy, she began instructing the class in 2014. Teaching this class has been an inspiration for her. She enjoys assisting others with improving their flexibility, strength, coordination and balance in order to help them maintain a high quality of life by being fit for daily activities. She obtained certification as a Senior Fitness Instructor through the American Senior Fitness Association in January 2016. Discovering that she has a passion for helping people get and stay fit to enjoy life in the fullest, she decided to expand her education and received her certification as a Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine in May 2016.
